Summary of Services and Rates
Quilting Levels - I do hand guided, custom quilting and offer 4 levels of service. Depending on what you’d like on your quilt, we’ll select the correct level of service. All prices are based on the square inch area of the quilt top.
Level 1 ($.02/sq in) - Large, overall designs across the whole top. Can have a different pattern in the border, doesn’t need to be a strict edge-to-edge. One thread color.
Level 2 ($.04/sq in) - Designs are a smaller scale than Level 1 and there are more pattern options available at this level. There can be different designs used among the blocks and borders. Blocks are used as a guide for quilting designs. Max of 4 thread colors.
Level 3 ($.06/sq in) - Designs may be more complicated than Level 2, a smaller scale, or it may require more thread colors. Max 8 thread colors.
Level - The Works ($.08/sq in) - This is reserved for quilts with some of the most complicated, smaller scale, or custom quilting patterns. This will typically be detailed FPP or EPP quilts. There is no thread change limit at this level.
Rush - If a project is required back with less than 5 weeks notice, a $40 rush charge will be applied. Service subject to availability.
Minimum - There is a minimum quilting charge of $50 (per quilt). This covers the minimum amount of time needed for design, communication, pressing, loading, and quilting of a project.
Batting - I have Quilters Dream batting options available for purchase or you can supply your own. I stock Dream Cotton Select and Deluxe lofts, but I can order any line of Quilters Dream batting for you.
Thread - I will supply Superior Threads thread, but you will help select the thread line and colors! I have several go-to options and at the consult meeting, we’ll decide what is right for your project. Thread cost is included with the quilting service, there are no thread charges.
Prep - Batting and Backing should be 8” longer and wider than the quilt top (this gives me 4” on each side of the quilt). The quilt top and backing should be cleaned of spare threads and well pressed. Alternatively, I can do the prep work for you for $25/hour, charged in 15 minute increments for the amount of time it actually takes.
Finishing - I can also help you finish your quilt! From trimming to attaching binding. More information available here.
