Large, overall designs across the whole top. Can have a different pattern in the border, doesn’t need to be a strict edge-to-edge. One thread color.

Designs are a smaller scale than Level 1 and there are more pattern options available at this level.  There can be different designs used among the blocks and borders.  Blocks are used as a guide for quilting designs. Max of 4 thread colors.

Designs may be more complicated than Level 2, a smaller scale, or it may require more thread colors.  Max 8 thread colors.

This is reserved for quilts with some of the most complicated, smaller scale, or custom quilting patterns.  This will typically be detailed FPP or EPP quilts.  There is no thread change limit at this level.
